Grace Zeng
Founder & Board Member
Currently a high school junior, Grace founded Project EcoMotion to make STEM education more accessible and engaging. Outside of the lab and classroom, she is an avid skier and tennis player, constantly testing the limits of the gear she studies.
Qiang Zeng
President / Treasurer & Board Member
As a Principal Software Engineering Manager with extensive experience in cloud computing and system architecture, Qiang brings high-level technical leadership to the board. During his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS), he actively focused on sustainability initiatives, giving him a unique, practical perspective on the intersection of deep tech and environmental responsibility. He leverages this expertise to guide Project EcoMotion’s technical strategy and operational growth.
Yinghua Dong
Secretary & Board Member
As a Paraeducator with the Bellevue School District, Yinghua brings invaluable frontline experience in student engagement and local education to the board. She is deeply passionate about supporting initiatives that empower the next generation and shares the team’s love for global travel and outdoor recreation.
Yong Zhai
Advisor
Yong Zhai earned his B.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. He was a Senior Engineer at China National Institute of Nanotechnology and Engineering (2006–2019) and is an expert at Tianjin University’s Core Facility Platform, specializing in advanced nano-characterization and green energy materials. He is a Senior Member of Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology and Chinese Society for Measurement.
Tengyan Zhang
Advisor
Dr. Tengyan Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and brings over 20 years of experience in process systems engineering, simulation, techno-economic analysis, and project management. As Simulation Director at EFD Corp, she has developed optimized desalination process flowsheets, performed cost analyses, and supported investor and project development. She is the author/co-inventor of 4 patents and multiple technical publications in process engineering and sustainable technologies.
